Install Guide – DU-BLE Angle Sensor for Agitator Trucks

Install Guide – DU-BLE Angle Sensor for Agitator Trucks

Device Provisioning

  1. This device comes pre-configured and paired to one of our FMM130 Incognito telematics devices and is provisioned on our GPS tracking platform.
  2. Each device is checked for connectivity prior to being delivered to a client site.
Note: With a big capacity internal battery, the device can be used without the extension cable. Please make sure the cap on the device is tightened firmly to protect the pins.

Installation Tips

  1. For the purposes of tracking agitator drum rotations and RPM, this device should be mounted to a flat section of the agitator drum head, nearest the truck cab.

  2. The device should be secured using the four self-tapping screws with washers provided, however it is also possible to use threaded stover nuts, welded bushings, or bolts in the 4.8 class.

  1. Once the device is correctly mounted to the vehicle, ensure that the protective case is applied and secured to the device with the provided serialised cable seal, using the guide holes on the sides of the protective case.

Note: If the device is not securely mounted to the vehicle, then it may trigger false agitator drum rotation and RPM events.

Wiring Harness

As this device uses Bluetooth to wirelessly connect with the FMM130 Incognito telematics device, no wiring is necessary.

Device Testing

On completion of the installation, please contact us on 1300 88 36 79 to allow us to check that the device is correctly functioning.

Please have the  FMM130 Incognito device IMEI number (printed on the device) and Customer Name ready.

Replacing Sensor Battery

This sensor includes an internal battery that can be replaced where necessary, however due to the sensors IP69 rating, there are several steps that should be followed:
  1. First, ensure that you have the correct replacement battery, which is the SAFT AA 3.6V 2600MAH LITHIUM battery. These batteries can be purchased at many battery stores in Australia including Battery World.
  2. Open the sensor’s head plate by removing the 8 screws and the lid:

  3. Use a Stanley knife to cut the upper layer of the sealant without damaging the circuit board beneath it. The ideal technique is to cut either side of the battery and the sealant should be able to be lifted out from on top of the battery:

  4. Take the battery out and replace it with the new one:

  5. Use a clear curing, oil-gasoline resistant sealant with neutral acidity to seal the top layer of the battery to retain the sensors IP rating. Many silicone based sealants can be used including options from JB Weld available HERE.
  6. Replace the sensor head plate, and secure with the 8 screws.
