How to Play Back Historical Video Footage for a Trip
Reviewing past trips is essential for understanding on-road events. This guide shows you how to play back historical video footage from your vehicle's dash cam for any completed trip. You will need to know which vehicle and trip you want to review.
- From the Vehicles list, find the vehicle you want to review and click View details.
- In the vehicle details panel, select the specific trip you wish to view from the list. The map will update to show the trip's route, and a timeline will appear at the bottom.
- On the timeline at the bottom of the screen, click the Historical video playback icon.
- The timeline will switch to Playback Mode. Click the blue Play button that appears on the timeline.
- In the Playback settings window, choose your desired Video quality (Standard or High) and select the Cameras you want to view (e.g., Road facing, Driver facing).
- Click Continue to start the playback.
- The video footage will begin streaming in the playback window. You can drag the marker on the timeline to jump to any point in the trip where video is available.
Tips
Before starting, look at the timeline at the bottom of the map. A solid purple bar indicates that video footage is available for that portion of the trip. If there is no purple bar, you will not be able to play back video for that time segment.
